Video tools
The Video tools are for hands-on work on one video at a time. To make a finished video ad from a brief, with a script, a voice and music, use video ads in Create instead. Open Tools → Video tools in the left rail. The tools sit in a row of round buttons under the box at the bottom of the page; hover one to see its name.
Start with a video
Generate makes a new video from a prompt. Describe the video you want and pick a model; then set the length, the resolution, the shape and whether it has sound. Some models can also start or end on a picture you give them. Use + to bring in your products, characters, a style or a picture. The price shows next to the send button before you press it. New videos appear in the gallery.
Every other tool works on a video you already have. Open the tool and Upload video (MP4, MOV or WebM, up to 50 MB), Pick from Creatives or Pick from assets, or drop or paste a video straight in.
The tools
| Tool | What it does |
|---|---|
| AI Edit | Change the video by describing it. |
| Trim | Cut the video to the part you keep. |
| Upscale | A sharper, higher-resolution video. |
| Caption | Add captions from what's said. |
| Lip-sync | Make the speaker's mouth match a new audio track. |
| Localize | Dub the voice into other languages. |
| Adapt | Make copies sized for each ad platform. |
AI Edit: describe what you want to change, like "make it night time", and pick a model.
Trim: drag the two handles to the part you keep, then press Trim. A clip has to be at least half a second long.
Upscale: pick 2× resolution or 4× resolution. The price depends on the video's size and frame rate.
Caption writes captions from the speech in the video. With Burn into video on, they're drawn onto the picture.
Lip-sync needs a new voice track: upload an MP3 or WAV file, up to 25 MB, and the speaker's lips are made to match it. To make one, use the Audio tools, download the clip, and upload it here.
Localize translates the voice into up to 5 languages at once. Words in the picture stay as they are. Turn on Lip-sync to match the lips to the new language too; on a long clip the switch is off and the card says why. You get one version per language.
Adapt makes the video in the sizes each ad platform asks for, such as Meta's feed and Story / Reels, a TikTok feed ad or a Pinterest pin. If a format has a shorter length limit than your video, Auto-trim cuts it to fit. Adapt is free, and each copy is saved as its own video.
Every tool shows its price before you start, on the button or next to it.
Versions
AI Edit, Trim, Upscale, Caption, Lip-sync and Localize don't replace your video. Each one adds a new version, and the original is always kept. The version pill on the canvas (Original, v1, v2…) switches between them, and Download saves the version on screen.
Open the video from Creatives to see every version in a strip under it. Your grid and downloads use the newest finished version; a dub into another language doesn't replace it.
If a version fails, it says so, and the credits for it come back automatically.
