Shorten the words
TikTok lays its own caption, account name and buttons over the bottom and right of the frame. The plan is where you shorten a line, before anything is made.

Check the zone and upload
Drop the finished ad into the free safe zone checker to see TikTok's zone over it, then upload the 1080 × 1920 file.

TikTok's auction in-feed page gives minimums only; its standard safe-zone template, drawn on a 720 × 1280 frame, clears the top 12.5%, the bottom 34.4%, 11.1% of each side and the bottom 56.25% of the right-hand 27.8%.

Frequently asked questions
What size is a TikTok ad?
TikTok recommends 9:16 for in-feed ads, with a minimum of 540 × 960 pixels, up to 10 minutes and 500 MB. Terrads makes the vertical ad at 1080 × 1920, well above that minimum.
Where is TikTok's safe zone?
TikTok's standard template clears the top 12.5%, the bottom 34.4% and 11.1% of each side, plus a block at the bottom right, and the length of your caption moves it. Drop a finished ad into our free safe zone checker to see that zone over it, at the file's own size.
Should the picture repeat the ad's caption?
No. TikTok shows your ad caption in white, in a font you can't change, over the bottom of the frame, and a longer caption covers more of it. Words in the picture that repeat it only crowd that space.
How long can a TikTok ad be?
TikTok takes in-feed videos up to 10 minutes. Terrads makes ads of 6, 15 or 30 seconds, each planned to its length scene by scene.
Does the ad have sound?
Yes. A voice reads the script, with music made for the ad unless you pick No music, and the words are on screen too, as captions.
