Changelog
What's new
Everything we ship that you can see in Terrads, newest first. Every entry is also plain markdown under /md/changelog.
The API and AI agents on every paid plan
- API and MCP access on Starter and Pro. Until now only Max could make ads through the API or from a coding agent. Every paid plan can now. Agent runs use credits exactly like the app does. See Ads from your coding agent and the quickstart.
- Adapt sizes follow the platforms. Meta Feed is now 4:5 at 1440 × 1800, X landscape is 1920 × 1080, and LinkedIn gets Vertical (4:5) and Landscape video sizes.
- Facebook and Instagram previews say "Ad". The mockups in the app and the free ad text preview use the label Meta shows today, in place of "Sponsored".
- More placements in Ad specs. Facebook Reels (video and image), LinkedIn single image and video, Google responsive display and the Pinterest standard pin, each with sizes, limits and safe zones. Browse them on Ad specs.
- Safe zone templates. A new free tool: download each placement's safe zone as a transparent PNG or SVG and lay it over your design. See Safe zone templates.
- A clearer sign-in message. If your account uses email sign-in and you press "Continue with Google", the message now tells you to sign in with an email link instead.
A person presents your product, in 21 voices
- AI avatars in video ads. Pick the "A person presents it" style and any of your Characters talks to camera about your product, followed by your product shots and end card. See AI avatar ads.
- "A person says it" for image ads. One of your Characters holds your product and says one line. It comes in three layouts, switching layout is free, and the ad can be translated like any other.
- Choose how each line is delivered. Every voice line in a video or audio ad takes a delivery, such as Excited or Confident, or one you describe yourself. There are 21 voices now, up from 3, with a filter by voice gender.
- New navigation. Tools are grouped into Image, Video and Audio menus, your work sits under Library, and a toggle on the side rail replaces the Page width setting.
- Onboard your coding agent. The "Onboard your agent" button on Home copies one prompt. Paste it into Claude Code or Cursor and the agent connects itself to Terrads.
- Smaller fixes. Credit history shows ten rows a page with Previous and Next. Images load faster, and thumbnails that went missing in Safari are back.
Make this with your product
- Templates on Home. Fourteen image and video ad templates to start from. Pick one and your product goes into it.
- "Make one like this." Any ad in the Ad library has a button that makes the same kind of ad with your product. You can also upload an ad you like, or paste a link to a TikTok video, an Instagram post or reel, or an ad in Meta's Ad Library. Pasted links need a paid plan.
- Angles for each product. Every product now gets its own list of ad angles to pick from, free.
- Video text stays readable. On-screen words in video ads sit centred, stay clear of the platform's buttons, and no longer cover the brand name on your product.
Free ad tools and a new video board
- Free tools. Three tools that run in your browser, with nothing uploaded: the ad size checker, the ad text preview and the safe zone checker for Stories, Reels, TikTok and YouTube. All of them are on Free tools.
- A new video plan board. Scenes are cards you can reorder. The end card works like any other scene, any scene can use your own clip, and AI motion can start from one of your photos.
- Keep clear of app buttons. On vertical ads, pick Meta, TikTok or YouTube and the text and logo stay out of that app's buttons. The preview draws the platform's whole safe zone.
- TikTok videos up to 10 minutes. Longer TikTok videos are accepted, with a warning past 60 seconds about TikTok's own ad rules.
- TikTok and YouTube in Ad specs. TikTok in-feed and carousel, and YouTube in-stream, bumper, Shorts, in-feed and square video, each drawn on the platform's own safe zone. See Ad specs.
- Edit any version. Edits work on every version of a video ad, and scenes you removed can be restored until you apply.
- Translations stay current. When the original ad changes, "Update" remakes its translation.
- The exact top-up. Running low on credits, the top-up prompt says exactly how many you need.
- Smaller fixes. Sign up from a link to a tool and you land on that tool. Adapt and Animate show the image picker on an empty canvas, and Batches says whether each batch is image, video or audio.
- Feature pages. One page per job Terrads does, each with real samples, on Features.
Audio ads in Create
- Audio ads. Write a brief and get a voice over music as an MP3, with 9:16 and 1:1 videos and a companion image to run it on. Audio ads also work through the API and MCP. See Audio ads and the audio ads guide.
- A Music tool. Make a music track on its own from the Audio tools.
- Audio tools. Speech lets you choose the voice engine, every audio tool shows its price before you submit, and the voice changer uses the voice you pick.
- Crop to any size. In Resize, Crop takes any size and you can drag the crop area. Expand explains its limits when a size won't work.
- Every image version in Creatives. Each version of an image shows as its own tile, and an upload you changed with a tool can be edited like any other image.
- Video scenes as a list. Edit a video ad's scenes from a list.
- Text that stands out. On-screen words in video ads get a colour and background that stand out against the scene behind them.
- Translate the whole video ad. In the video tools, translating a video ad made in Create now translates its headlines, captions and end card along with the voice.
- Fixes. Voice cloning works again, and upscaled videos play in more players.
- Guides. New guides for making video ads, audio ads, the image, video and audio tools, and connecting Claude Code or Cursor.
Video ads from your own clips, and through the API
- Your own talking clip. Upload a clip of a real person talking and build a video ad around it.
- A real ad as your guide. Pick a video ad from the Ad library as a reference and its structure shapes your plan. Video ads in the Ad library play when you hover over them.
- AI motion on every scene. Any scene can move, and you see the stills before anything is animated. The opening shot can be animated too.
- Sharper questions. The questions before a video plan ask what matters for your ad.
- Examples for every style. Every video style has example videos, and the plan view is bigger.
- Video ads through the API and MCP. Plan, approve and download video ads from your own code or a coding agent. See Runs.
- Prices up front. Dubbing shows its price before you click.
Video ads in Create
- Video ads. Switch Create to Video, write a brief and get a plan for each variation: the scenes, the words on screen and the voice lines. Planning is free; you pay once, when you approve. Each ad comes back as an MP4 with voice and music in every size you picked: 9:16, 4:5 and 1:1. See Video ads and the video ads guide.
- Change it after. Describe a change, or edit one scene or the whole ad. Every change is a new version in every size, and a paid change shows its price before you apply it.
- New hooks and other languages. Make three new opening hooks for an ad, or translate its voice and words into another language as a new version.
Sharper area edits
- Area edits at 2K. Edits to a marked area come back sharper, at 2K, and replacement text is no longer cut off at the edge of the mark.
- Trim keeps the sound in sync. A trimmed video's audio now starts exactly where the cut does.
- Styles from Inspiration. Create now labels styles that came from an ad you picked in Inspiration.
- Removed. The Dynamic Text Reveal effect is gone from Animate.
