Pinterest standard Pin ad size

A Pinterest standard image ad is 2:3 at 1000 × 1500 pixels, a PNG or JPEG up to 20 MB on desktop and 32 MB in the app, with a title of up to 100 characters and a description of up to 800. Pinterest's pages disagree on how tall a Pin can be before the feed cuts it off: past 2:3 on its ad specs page, past 2:4.2 on its ads overview page.

1000 × 1500
Drawn at 1000 × 1500, 2:3. Pinterest publishes no safe zone for standard image ads. Its ad specs page gives one for Idea ads, which it recommends at 1080 × 1920 (9:16): 270 px at the top, 65 px on the left, 195 px on the right and 440 px at the bottom. Its Pin specs page gives image and video Pins the same top and sides and 790 px at the bottom.

What the other guides get wrong

One guide gives a standard image ad's description as up to 500 characters. Pinterest's ad specs page says up to 800, and that the description doesn't show in the home feed or search feed.
