LinkedIn single image ad size

A LinkedIn single image ad is 1.91:1 at 1200 × 628 pixels, a JPG, PNG or GIF up to 5 MB. LinkedIn marks vertical 4:5 at 720 × 900 as a recommended ratio too, served on mobile only, and takes square 1:1 at 1200 × 1200. It advises up to 150 characters of introductory text and 70 of headline to avoid truncation.

Description100 characters to avoid truncation, 300 at most; shown when the image is under 200 pixels wide or the ad runs on the LinkedIn Audience Network

CroppingSquare and vertical images might be cropped when the ad is shared organically; for thumbnails LinkedIn recommends ratios between 3:2 and 16:9

What the other guides get wrong

One guide recommends 628 × 1200 for a vertical LinkedIn image. LinkedIn recommends 4:5 at 720 × 900, and says a 1:1.91 vertical image is still supported but gets borders added to either side.
