Ad account quality
Ad account quality usually means Meta's Account Quality tool, which the Business Help Center calls Meta Business Support Home. It lists rejected ads and any advertising restrictions on your business portfolio, ad accounts, Pages and profile, and it is where you ask Meta to review either decision. Meta's pages describe statuses and appeals; the one number they list, a "feedback score", is not defined there.
Is Account Quality the same as Business Support Home?
Yes, by Meta's own links. The Transparency Center's Advertising
Standards still say
"you can request a review of either decision in Account Quality" and link to
facebook.com/accountquality. The Business Help Center's About Meta Business
Support Home links to
the same address under the Business Support Home name and describes it as "a centralized way to
monitor and resolve issues you might encounter around compliance with our Meta
Advertising Standards, Commerce Policies and other policies and terms."
What can you do in it?
Meta's list, from the same page:
- "Review the status of your business portfolios, ad accounts, commerce accounts, catalogs and Pages."
- "Request a review of ads or assets that you believe may have been incorrectly rejected."
- "View and track the status of any rejected ads or items from your product catalog."
- "Review your feedback score."
- "Contact support."
The account overview covers the last 14, 30 or 90 days, with an Outstanding tab for current issues and a Resolved tab for closed ones. Meta also says you can use it to "confirm the validity of any emails, text messages, or phone calls" from someone claiming to be a Meta representative.
What restrictions can it show?
Meta's About advertising restrictions lists them: "Limits on the amount an advertiser can spend per day or a lower payment threshold", "Loss of access to some payment features", "Loss of access to some advertising features" and "Loss of the ability to advertise on Meta platforms". They can sit on four levels:
| Level | If restricted |
|---|---|
| Business portfolio | "isn't allowed to advertise" |
| Ad account | "your ad account, its ads and some of its advertising assets are disabled" |
| Page | "isn't allowed to advertise" |
| Personal profile | "you are not allowed to use Meta Products to advertise" |
Causes include breaking the Advertising Standards, a suspected hacked account, missing two-factor authentication, and "unusual payment or account activity, high rates of failed payments or disputed payments". Unusual activity can bring temporary limits "while we investigate the issue".
How do you appeal a rejected ad?
Meta's How to troubleshoot a rejected ad gives the rules:
- Timing: "We aim to review and provide a decision within 48 hours."
- Who reviews: "we rely more heavily on teams of human reviewers to process re-review requests" than in the first ad review.
- What a win does: "If your ad rejection is successfully overturned, this will not count as an ad violation."
- One try: if it is rejected again, "you won't be able to submit another review request for the same ad."
- No penalty for asking: "Requesting another review of an ad will not hurt your standing with Meta in any way."
For a restricted account, Meta's troubleshooting page says you may be asked to confirm your identity, complete verification, secure your account or request a review, and that "you must be an admin on the account".
What it means for your ads
- Check it before you blame delivery. A rejected ad or a spend limit shows up here, not in your results columns.
- Appeal before you delete. Meta warns that if you delete a rejected ad, "you may lose your ability to request another review".
- Editing doesn't clear the record. "Editing or deleting an ad that was rejected for violating Advertising Standards will not remove the violation from your account", and "severe or repeat ad violations" can restrict the account.
- Pick the right special ad category. Meta's guidance on those ads points to Business Support Home for appeals.
Common mistakes
- Waiting out a disabled account. If an ad account disabled for a policy violation "remains ineligible for reinstatement for 6 months, any unused prepaid services may be forfeited where allowed by law."
- Treating an approval as final. Meta reviews ads again later; see ad review.

Terrads makes a batch of different ads in one go, so a rejected ad can be swapped for a new version while the appeal runs.
